Contributions for joining a normal SierraRios trip include a kayak and paddle for competent paddlers. The above listed boats are in Myanmar.
OARS/PADDLES: Most of the oars available are Carlisle 9' though we also have some Cataract SGG oar shafts (composite carbon/fiberglass material) with MagnumII blades or Carlisle outfitter blades (aluminum-based). Kayak paddles are either AT or Werner straight shaft or bent shaft 197-200 cm and almost all are fiberglass with 30o feathering. Anyone in charge of a raft or kayak takes responsibility for damage to oars/paddles that may occur while in charge of a boat. We can bring 1-ft oar exenders to convert 9' oars to 10' oars, but this needs to be requested and arranged well ahead of time. Currently in Myanmar we have:
